Kursdreper’n - e. Tellef Kvifte. Denne slåtten lærte pappa (Tellef) av Ola B. Straume fra Fyresdal. Han var ofte på kappleik i Åmli, og han kalte bare slåtten for reinlender. Pappa spilte på den tiden mye til dans på kurs på Ole Bull Akademiet og der var det ofte nybegynnere som nettopp hadde lært seg å danse reinlender, og da lærer en seg å danse etter slåtter som har vek med 4+4 takter. Etter de hadde danset en stund tok han reinlenderen etter Straume, og den er langt fra jevn periodisk, noe som førte til total forvirring en stund, før folk skjønte at det går jo an å snu når man vil i dansen. Derav navnet Kursdreper’n.
